State of the Data Center Report

Volume I, Oct. 30, 2007 -- Symantec's State of the Data Center Research is a comprehensive, global report focused on identifying the top challenges IT professionals face in the data center. The research finds that today’s data centers are becoming more complex and are likely to become even more so in the next five years. Symantec’s 2007 State of the Data Center report is the result of quantitative and qualitative research conducted in September 2007 of data center managers in Global 2000 and large public sector institutions. Among other findings the study reveals that data center managers are implementing virtualization and server consolidation strategies to manage the growing complexities in today’s data center.

Internet Security Threat Report

Volume XII, Sept. 17, 2007 -- Symantec’s semiannual report, one of the most comprehensive sources of Internet threat data in the world, reports that cyber criminals are increasingly becoming more professional – even commercial – in the development, distribution and use of malicious code and services.

25th Anniversary

2007 marks 25 years of business for Symantec. Few periods in human history can match the revolutionary developments in technology that our world has seen during the past 25 years. We’re glad to be a part of this Information Age. A press kit containing materials and information has been created to give a sense as how Symantec began and has evolved to meet its customers’ needs during the past 25 years. In addition, an interactive timeline has been created to give additional context to each year of Symantec’s history.

Symantec has developed a new interactive network for its IT community. The Symantec Technology Network is complete with how-to videos, blogs, feature articles, and user forums allowing its customers to interact with each other and with Symantec.
